RIU Punta Cana
Went to Punta Cana last week. Why you ask? Simply because I had never been there and secondly, because it was relatively cheap. Stayed at the RIU Palace Macao and upgraded to the 'Elite Club' class. Check in is at 3PM, we couldn't get to our room until 5PM because it wasn't ready. The TV didn't work and we got a different story from each person we talked to, David, the desk Manager was no help at all and asked if I had Netflix to watch. One of the door keys didn't work and I had to go back to the front desk FOUR(4) times to get a key that worked!!Housekeeping only left us 2 large towels, no hand or wash towels. Some workers were nice and friendly, others were not. The bathroom sink was plugged and draining slow and the bus to get us back to the airport was an hour late. There was tons of Sargassum on the beach, so much that you couldn't go to and enjoy the beach. And they never cleaned it up! Other resorts were out there all day keeping their beaches clean.

So I'm flying back Business Class from the Caribbean Islands (sucks doesn't it), and I pre-ordered a steak dinner. What do I get? Fucking TOFU!!! I told the flight attendant I ordered the steak dinner and he looks at his phone app? and says 'You probably did but I have you down for the vegetarian dinner' and there is nothing he can do about it because there is nothing else/more in the galley. They didn't even have snacks on the plane, no drinks after boarding, and no hot towels either. So he offers me a dried up turkey and cheese sandwich. Then...on the connecting flight in Philly, they put me in Boarding Group 6!! So I payed for a Business Class ticket and the fuckers board me last!Screwed again........
RED LOBSTER
Went to Red Lobster the other day and and ordered the Lobster Tails w/Scallops and a Filet Mignon. Everything, and I mean Everything was Under Cooked! AND....to top it all off, take a look at the water glass they gave me. Fucking Disgusting!
American Airlines
Another example of how travel has become more difficult to enjoy from the 'good ole-days'. More Later I'm to tired right now to bitch, Stay Tuned..........

Amtrak Empire Builder
OK, so this one isn't really a bitch but I had to include it. Took a 3 day Cross Country train ride last year. We had 2 connecting bedrooms and it was one of the most enjoyable trips we made. Good food and service. It was fun and we plan to do another. The 2 bedrooms is truly the way to go.
ALASKA
I've come to realize that Cruise Ship Vacations are NOT WORTH IT! Take a Cross Country trip on AMTRAK, get at least 1 bedroom (2 adjoining ones are better), it is a great experience!!
NORWEGIAN JOY
And I thought Princess was a waste of money. Here is a short list of our Norwegian Cruise mishaps....Room not cleaned when we were allowed in, Water bottle if refrigerator was previously opened, Was charged for other peoples drinks(we had the beverage package), casino gave us change in Pennies, Not enough lounge chairs by the small pool for the number of passengers on the ship(rough approximate was about 1 chair for 10 passengers or 10%), meat in the specialty restaurants was both under-cooked and had a lot of fat.
Cruises Suck
Cruises Suck! But I'm still going to take one more to make it an even 5. Thus being able to add more to bitch about later.
Belhurst Castle Geneva NY
So we had one the most Unpleasant and Disgusting Experience of staying at the Belhurst Castle a while ago. There were several couple staying at the various buildings, on and off the castle grounds. EVERYONE had e the same comments about the facilities. The rooms were dirty and smelled very musty. Ours even had BLACK MOLD in and around the tub and sink bathroom area. The manager, Mr. Mackey was informed and basically he didn't give a shit. Be forewarned!
AVIS
So I recently rented a vehicle from AVIS at the St. Paul, MSP Airport. I am a Preferred Member and after 1 1/2 hrs of waiting in line because only one of the staff knew their job. I reserved an Intermediate SUV and first they wanted to give me a pickup truck, then a Large SUV, then others, but not the one I reserved. They finally gave me a Grand Cherokee and that was fine, except when I got to the SUV and discovered it an Electric Vehicle. So after 3 more attempts they finally got it right, almost. They gave me a Toyota 4Runner...what a piece of junk! I was afraid to drive it because there was something definitely wrong with the front end steering and suspension. So I had to trade that in, Then I finally got the vehicle I reserved in the first place. It had a 1/4 tank of gas in it and I had a contract showing that. When I turned the SUV in, they tried to charge me for a full tank of gas, even though I showed him the original contract! What a cluster-fuck operation AVIS has become! Unbelievable!
Holiday Inn Express
I like HIE's but I had the unfortunate experience staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Cortez, CO. The place was under construction and there was dust and dirt all over the place. The Hot Breakfast was Cold. We were given 2 towels for 2 people for 2 days. When asked for 2 additional towels, I was told that 'they were short'! Construction workers walking past our window. The only ice machine that worked was on the 3rd floor and that was missing parts and dirty. Laudry was in another building which had no locks on the doors so anyone could just walk right in. The Staff obviously were not happy working their. Then, look at the black mold and missing soap holder in the pictures. Fucking Disgusting! They did give me a refund which amounted to about 25% of the total bill. But that was after they said they would give me a refund...Not a partial one. This is not typical of HIE's but corporate should be more in-tuned to how their property brands are managed.
